The Mira Mesa Neighborhood 4th of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026, will be a special event marking the 250th Anniversary of the United States a milestone for our nation and our community. This daylong celebration is designed to bring together the Mira Mesa community and surrounding neighborhoods to honor Independence Day with pride, diversity, and unity. The festivities will kick off with the traditional 4th of July Parade, highlighting the rich cultural diversity of District 6. The parade will feature a vibrant mix of cultural groups, community organizations, local schools, and neighborhood representatives, proudly showcasing the spirit of Mira Mesa. The celebration continues at the Mira Mesa Senior Center, offering a family-friendly, festive, and fun-filled environment for all ages. Attendees can enjoy live music, cultural performances, traditional food, and dance throughout the day. A community potluck picnic and Ice Cream Social at the Senior Center will encourage neighbors to relax, connect, and enjoy the holiday together. The Alliance for Quality Education has a Special Use Permit (SUP) with the City of San Diego and manage the Mira Mesa Senior Center.
