San Diego VisionWalk is a fun-filled community event that brings together individuals, families, researchers, and supporters to advance the Foundation Fighting Blindness mission of finding treatments and cures for blinding retinal diseases. Attendees can enjoy a live band, free popcorn, cotton candy, snacks, and fresh fruit, as well as special appearances by Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion. The event also features exciting performances by the San Diego State University Dance and Cheer Squad, photo opportunities, family-friendly activities, and a meaningful walk to support sight-saving research and celebrate hope for the future.
Location: De Anza Cove Park is a scenic waterfront park located along Mission Bay in San Diego. Known for its wide-open grassy areas, sandy shoreline, and beautiful bay views, the park offers a relaxing setting for walking, picnicking, birdwatching, and family-friendly gatherings. Its calm waters and spacious layout make it an ideal location for community events like VisionWalk, providing easy access, ample parking, and stunning views of Mission Bay.
