  • November 7, 2025 - The Independent Budget Analyst (IBA) releases the following reports: FY 2027-2031 Five-Year Financial Outlook, Public Utilities FY 2027-2031 Five-Year Financial Outlook, FY 2026 First Quarter Budget Monitoring Report, and FY 2026 CIP Mid-Year Budget Monitoring Report
  • January 9, 2026 - Councilmembers' FY 2027 updated budget priorities memoranda are due to the Office of the IBA

FY 2027 Budget Survey

Our values as a city are reflected in the programs and services the City Council chooses to prioritize and fund. The annual process used to create the budget is an important tool in determining how resources will be prioritized and allocated to meet the diverse needs of San Diego communities.

A crucial step in developing budget priorities is to gather input from as many individuals as possible to ensure the Proposed Budget is responsive to community needs.
