Two informational items occupy the docket of Monday’s Special Meeting.  One looks at the disparity in contractors hired by the city.   The other updates information about the Housing Authority for City Councilmembers.

Special Meeting of the Council – July 19, 2021 – 2 p.m.


The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. to address the one item on the Council Agenda and one item on the Housing Authority Agenda.


 


Council Agenda


Item 600 - 2020 City of San Diego Disparity Study - The Purchasing and Contracting Department is pleased to provide the results of the 2020 Disparity Study with the purpose of identifying whether any gaps exist in the City’s contracting with traditionally underrepresented groups and includes items for consideration to remedy any identified gaps.   In August of 2019, City of San Diego issued a formal request for proposal seeking a qualified and experienced consultant to develop and undertake a disparity study on behalf of the City.   


 


Housing Authority Agenda


Item 1 - Informational Update: Formation, Authority, and Powers of the Housing Authority of the City of San Diego and the San Diego Housing Commission - The City Attorney and General Counsel for the San Diego Housing Commission will provide an overview of the formation, authority, and powers of the Housing Authority of the City of San Diego and the San Diego Housing Commission under State law and the San Diego Municipal Code.
