City Council

The People's Business - May 11, 2021

With the initial Budget Review Committee meetings wrapping up, it’s time to get to other matters in the City Council.  It’s mid-May and precious few weeks remain before the August Legislative Recess, which is why a Special Meeting of the City Council is necessary.

From the Office of Council President Jennifer Campbell Campbell

Special Meeting of the City Council – May 12, 2021 – 9 a.m.

Wednesday’s meeting has a relatively brief agenda.  Two consent items will be presented on the Consent Agenda, both second readings on agreements with companies.

Item 600 - Second Amendment to Software License and Maintenance Agreement with Open Counter Enterprises Inc.

Item 601 - Approval of the Third Amendment to the Master Services Agreement with CGI Technologies and Solutions

One item is listed on the Discussion Agenda.

Del Mar EstatesAppeal of the Del Mar Highlands Estates Amendment (Item 602) – This is an appeal of the Planning Commission’s decision to approve Site Development Permit No. 2388324 and Planned Development Permit No. 2388324 also known as the Del Mar Highlands Estates Amendment Project.  It will include the construction of 20 multi-family affordable housing units, 26 multi-family units and six market rate units.

Derby Terrace, LLC, which owns property near the project has filed an appeal saying the new project design will result in the removal of parking spaces which will leave Derby in violation of the Municipal Code.  City Staff finds the appeal issue to be valid.
