To qualify for this tax credit, your business must hire and pay a qualified full-time employee for work performed in specific census tracts or geographic areas, in particular industries. Most retail and service industry businesses are excluded, as are temporary agencies. In order to receive the credit, your business must have a net increase in full-time employees in California, determined on an annual full-time equivalent basis.
