Amendment to Land Development Manual - Storm Water Standards

The City of San Diego Storm Water Standards manual is undergoing the following amendments:

  • Addition of requirements for controlling runoff rates and durations in conformance with the regional Hydromodification Management Plan
  • Reorganizing the document for improved readability and usability
  • Minor revisions to language in order to improve clarity of the requirements and consistency of application

In July 2010, the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board concluded a public outreach process and hearing with adoption of a regional Hydromodification Management Plan (RWQCB Resolution No. R9-2010-0066). This action included a mandate that the City of San Diego, along with 20 other local jurisdictions, incorporate all elements of this plan into their local land development requirements in order to take effect on January 14, 2011.In accordance with Section 111.0106 of the Land Development Code, the City is proposing to amend the Storm Water Standards Land Development Manual. The document is available for review below. Comments may be submitted for a 30-day period from November 23rd to December 23rd, 2010.
