The City continues to lead in addressing homelessness, with the latest Homekey project in Mission Valley converting a former extended-stay hotel into 161 new homes. Progress continues with the Bridge to Home program, which will deliver 592 new affordable homes in neighborhoods like City Heights, Southcrest, and Grantville. Regional water savings also take center stage, with an agreement that conserves water in Lake Mead and saves San Diegans $20 million. Additional updates include the upcoming increase in San Diego’s minimum wage to $17.25 an hour and a newly completed roundabout in Otay Mesa that enhances safety and traffic flow.
