Program Guide

Carmel Mountain Ranch / Sabre Springs Recreation Center hosts multiple special events for the community during the year, including the Spring Egg Scramble, Movies in the Park, and Fall Carnival. Please call the recreation center office for more information on all our programs, classes, and special events!​

These classes include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting Essentials: Theater Basics (ages 7-14)
  • Babysitter Training Classes (ages 11-18)
  • Beginner and Advanced Crochet Classes (ages 9-18)
  • Cartooning 101: From Doodles to Drawings (ages 9-13)
  • Cinematography 101 Classes (ages 7-14)
  • Civic Dance Classes (ages 4-17)
  • Dance to Evolve Dance Classes (ages 2-12)
  • Summer Sports Saga: Dodge, Kick, and Tag (ages 9-14)
  • Sunny Strikers Soccer School (ages 4-7)
  • Toddler Open Play (ages 2-4)
  • Lil Creators Craft Classes (ages 2-4)
  • Yoga (ages 18 and up)

We also have open play times set for Basketball, Volleyball, and Pickleball! Times are subject to change without notice. Please see the calendar below for the most updated information.

History of the Center

The recreation center opened in 1997 following years of community meetings to design a facility and park that would effectively utilize limited space in the area.

From Interstate 15, take the Ted Williams Parkway exit east. Turn left at Rancho Carmel Drive. The recreation center is on the left.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Route 20.
