San Carlos Recreation Center

San Carlos Recreation Center is a strong establishment in the community. We offer youth basketball, youth volleyball and youth flag football leagues as well as skills clinics. Ballet and gymnastics classes are also available on a monthly basis. Need a night out with your spouse or friends? Drop the kids off for Parent's Night out every second Friday of the month! We have day camps for all the school breaks offered by Combine5. The San Carlos / Lake Murray Recreation Advisory Group sponsors two annual special events - a Spring Egg Hunt and a Halloween Carnival. Please call the recreation center office for more information on all our programs, classes and special events!

Lake Murray Community Park is also managed by the San Carlos Recreation Center. There is a playground that opened in November 2012 due to the efforts of the Lake Murray Playground Project and the City of San Diego's Park & Recreation Department's park planners. It has been a wonderful addition to the community, and any requested events at this park needs to be approved by the City. Please call the Recreation Center office and ask for the Center Director for any all questions and concerns regarding the Lake Murray Community Park and San Carlos Recreation Center.

What's Coming

Summer Movies in the Park is a perfect chance to relax and enjoy a safe and special night under the stars. Come early and get a good seat! The Summer Movies in the Park event series began in 2007 as a ‘take back our parks’ initiative, giving local residents a reason to visit their local county and city parks for a free and safe evening event. This well-attended community activity deterred inappropriate after-hours park use and loitering and gave residents an opportunity to feel safe in their local park, thus encouraging future visits.

This Summer the San Carlos Recreation Center is showing Lego Movie 2 on August 30th. We hope to see you there!

Please see our PDF icon Program Guide for a full list of our recreation offerings!
