The sport of Judo is a Japanese Martial Art. This program focuses on self-defense and staying fit by building awareness and coordination. This is a non-striking martial art and suitable for the whole family.
Ages: 5 years to Adult
Day: Wedneswday 5:45 to 7:15 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Cost: varies per month
The annual Clairemont Family Day is scheduled for September 2022. The event celebrates over 30 Years of Family Fun! Event runs 9am-4pm and offers a Pancake Breakfast, entertainment stage, pony and carnival rides, a classic car show, shopping and food vendors and more! This is a group of residents and a forum to address concerns regarding South Clairemont and Tecolote Recreation Centers as well as Mt. Acadia Community Park, East Clairemont Athletic Area and Western Hills Neighborhood Park. Meetings are open to the public and meet monthly on the second Thursday of the month. From Genesee Avenue take Balboa Avenue (west) to Clairemont Drive and turn left. The center is on the left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 27, 50 and 105.
