Kids Night Out!

Parents- need a night out? We've got a fun evening planned for your children so you can have some time to yourself. Our staff will provide games, crafts, dinner and more. This event will only have a maximum of 18 registrants to ensure safety and fun. We're certified in CPR, First Aid and FUN!

Little Chill Zone                                               Ages: 1-4 years old                                      Minimum: 4        Maximum: 15

Come and Chill, out of the heat. Soft music, coloring pages, and sensory indoor play. Parent or Adult supervision required at all Times!  “Our priority is a safe environment. If hitting or biting occurs, the child may be asked to leave class early, to ensure everyone’s safety.” 

Direct supervision is not provided. Recreation Staff will monitor room.  Register early, space is limited.

Let your creativity shine! Pop in to create a fun weekly craft, complete worksheets, dance, and have a blast! Parent or Adult supervision required at all Times!  “Our priority is a safe environment. P.L.A.Y Golf                                                            Ages: 1-4 years old                                  Minimum: 4        Maximum: 25

Come P.L.A.Y. Golf with our Pro’s! This program provides students the opportunity to get hands-on instruction from PGA Professionals on the fundamentals of golf in a fun and informative way! Our instructors use the SNAG Golf System, an innovative first touch golf system, which provides the perfect introduction on how to play golf, while building up skills and confidence. SNAG allows students to practice full shots, pitching, chipping, and putting right here at South Clairemont Recreation Center! (Equipment is provided! Tennis balls for golf balls and kids clubs for golf clubs.)

Self-Defense: Judo

The sport of Judo is a Japanese Martial Art. This program focuses on self defense and staying fit by building awareness and coordination. This is a non-striking martial art and suitable for the whole family. 

Days/Times: Wednesdays, 5:45 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Ages: 5 years to adult

Community Yoga

New Yoga class at South Clairemont Recreation Center. Whether you’re building strength, improving flexibility, or simply carving out time to reconnect, our offerings invite you to move with ease, focus, and confidence on and off the mat. Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, this collection emphasizes balance, alignment, and sustainable practice, helping you feel centered, strong, and fully present. Supplies are not provided.

Day/Time: Sundays, 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Map this location

From Interstate 5, take the Clairemont Drive exit (east) and proceed up the hill. The center is on the right-hand side.

From Genesee Avenue, take Balboa Avenue (west) to Clairemont Drive and turn left. The center is on the left.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 27, 50 and 105.
