I am Queen Empowerment Day!
On Saturday, October 22, 2016 South Clairemont Recreation Center will be hosting a Teen Center special event called, “2016" I AM Queen Empowerment Day! This event was created to inspire, encourage and motivate our teens in the community. The day will include a Fashion Show, guest speakers, and live performances of neighborhood schools and community talent. Click here for more information.
Ages: 9 to 17 years
Join us In the South Clairemont Auditorium every Monday and Friday from 4:00 to 5:00pm. We will be learning basic theatre skills, playing fun games, and we will be practicing for our very own season productions.
Every Monday to Friday from 3:30 through 6:00 p.m. Teens 12 to 17 years old are invited to drop into the South Clairemont game room to do some homework, play games, play xbox, shoot pool, and make new friends. No registration required.
Arts and Nails
Every Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the South Clairemont Teen Room where ages 3 to 16 years old can play games, get nails done, create diffrent arts and crafts while enjoying music or movies. $3/4 week session.
Arts in the Park
Every Wednesday from 12 to 2:00 p.m. come join us for some fun arts and crafts outdoors! Free, no registration required.
Pee Wee Sports
The Pee Wee Sports program is designed to teach youngsters the basic fundamentals of sports taught in a fun environment.
Ages: 3 to 7 years
Sessions: On-going (4 weeks session)
Time: 4 to 5 p.m.
Cost: $13 per session/four-week session
Participants will learn how to cook easy delicious healthy food. Supplies will be provided.
Ages: 7 to 17 years
Time: 1:30 to 3 p.m.
Cost: $18 per class
Participants will learn the fundamentals of basketball. Instruction will be provided on proper dribbling, lay up, and passing techniques.
Ages: 10 to 12 years
Time: 4 to 5 p.m.
Cost: $15 per session/ 4 weeks session

Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 5, take the Clairemont Drive exit (east) and proceed up the hill. The center on is the right hand side.
From Genesee Avenue take Balboa Avenue (west) to Clairemont Drive and turn left. The center is on the left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 27, 50 and 105.
