Judo is a sport and a Japanese martial art. This is a "Keep Fit" class and a means of self-defense. The class is designed to build awareness and coordination. This is a non-striking martial art.

Ages: 5 years- Adult
Monday 5:30 am- 6:45 pm
Saturday 10:00 am- 12:00 pm
Cost: $40/ month

Physical Fitness for Senior

Participants enjoy lively chair exercises with 1 to 3 pounds weights, Chinese calisthenics, and line dancing to great music.
Tuesday 9:00 am- 12:00 pm

Thursday 9:00am- 12:00 pm
Cost: Free

Senior Bridge

The South Clairemont Bridge Club is open to the public to anyone interested in learning and to play bridge.
Monday 9:00 am- 1:00 pm
Cost: Free

Ceramic Club

Participants share basic ceramic skills and painting techniques.  Participants must provide their own supplies and slip.
Monday 9:00 am- 12:00 pm

Teen Center (Teens and Tweens Summer Summit)

Teens and Tweens will have a safe place to go to, hang out with their friends during the summer days while also participating in different recreational activities. The Summer Summit consists of arts, activities, sports, visits to the pool, field trips to the movies, and other exciting places. Lunch and snacks will be provided daily.

Ages: 11-15 years
Time: 11:00-5:00
Cost: $18/ per session

Arts in the Park

The South Clairemont Arts in the Park is a free, youth, art program! Every Wednesday from 10:30 to 1:00 pm. Children can come out and join staff outdoors for some fun arts and crafts!

Pee Wee Sports

The Pee Wee ports program is designed to teach children sports in a safe environment. Children will learn the fundamentals of baseball, basketball, soccer and more.

Ages: 4 to 7 years
Sessions: On-going (4 weeks session)
Day: Monday
Time: 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $13 per session/4 week session

Cooking Class

Participants will learn how to cook easy delicious healthy food. Recipes are simple and easy to prepare at home. Supplies will be provided.

Ages: 7 to 16 years
Day: Wednesday
Time: 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $18 per session

Summer Lunch Program

This award winning program is offered in partnership with the San Diego Unified School District. Staff serve FREE nutritious lunches and snacks that are prepared by the SDUSD. All children are welcome. There is no registration or income verification. The program features a community BBQ event, on which includes games and activities for children, informational booths and free fruits and vegetables to take home.

Ages: 18 years and younger
Time: “Lunch” 12:00- 2:00 pm “Snack” 3:00- 3:30 pm

Youth Theatre

In the fall of 2017 Advanced and beginner class Theatre classes will be offered. Youth Theatre Program is designed to teach kids preforming arts. They will learn acting, projection, public speaking, voice and choreography, games and much more!

From Genesee Avenue take Balboa Avenue (west) to Clairemont Drive and turn left. The center is on the left.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 27, 50 and 105.
