About the Update
The Barrio Logan Community planning area is one of the oldest waterfront communities within the City of San Diego. The area is bounded by Downtown San Diego to the north, National City to the south, Interstate-5 to the east and the San Diego Unified Port District as well as the United States Navy to the west.
The Barrio Logan Community Plan Update, a high priority for the Mayor and the City, represents a significant planning effort for the City of San Diego. The Update will establish goals and objectives for future improvements and development that will implement the policies contained within the City's General Plan while enhancing the community for existing and future community residents, businesses and organizations.
El sitio de planeo de la comunidad de Barrio Logan es una de las comunidades sobre la costa más históricas en la Cuidad de San Diego. La área es limitada por el centro de San Diego al norte, National City al sur, la autopista 5 al oriental y el San Diego Unified Port District (el puerto) y la Marina de los Estados Unidos al oeste.
La Actualización del Plan Comunitario de Barrio Logan, una prioridad alta para el alcalde y la cuidad, representa un esfuerzo de planeamiento significante para la Cuidad de San Diego. Project Description
In conjunction with the community, the City staff and the consultant team are in the process of preparing a comprehensive update of the 1978 Barrio Logan/Harbor 101 Community Plan.
The community plan will implement the updated General Plan by utilizing the General Plan elements to ensure that the new citywide policies and programs from the General Plan are reflected in the community plan. The updated community plan will include the following 10 elements and identify a land use plan to address land use conflicts: Land Use and Community Planning; Mobility; Urban Design; Economic Prosperity; Public Facilities, Services and Safety; Recreation; Historic Preservation; Noise; Housing; and Implementation.
Junto a la comunidad, personal de la Cuidad y un equipo de consultores están en el proceso de preparar la actualización del Plan Comunitario de Barrio Logan/ Harbor 101 de 1978.
El plan comunitario implantara el nuevo Plan General utilizando los elementos del Plan General para asegurar que las nuevas políticas y programas del Plan General son reflejadas en el plan comunitario. El nuevo plan incluyera estos 10 elementos y identificara un plan del uso de tierra para manejar conflictos sobre esto: Uso de Tierras y Planificación Comunitaria; Movilidad; Diseño Urbano; Prosperidad Económica; Facilidades Publicas, Servicios y Seguridad; Recreo; Preservación Histórica; Ruido; Viviendas; y Implementación.
