Allied Gardens/Benjamin Library
First opened in 1965, the Allied Gardens/Benjamin Branch Library was built with funds from a bequest byEdwin A. Benjamin, a book-loving San Diego resident. In the mid-1980s, thanks to community support, the library was expanded and additional parking lot access was added. The library reopened in 1986 and features a meeting room, an outdoor patio and a periodical reading room.
