Opened in July 2002 to serve a thriving community, the Mission Valley Branch Library is among the largest City libraries at 19,760 square feet. The building has received accolades for architecture and design, including the award for Best Institutional Design from the American Institute of Architects. The library includes a meeting room with public art displays, a children's library, a computer lab, an outdoor patio with a flowing river sculpture and a terrace.
