Mentor Protégé Program

Sponsorships

The County of San Diego, Department of Public Works and the San Diego County Water Authority continue to provide sponsorship funding to the Program. The services listed below would not have been possible without sponsorship funding.

Sponsorship funds assist with program administrative cost, and the purchase of the following training, equipment, supplies and services for protégé to assist with business improvements:

• Construction specific software and training to operate new software
• Construction training courses
• Construction specific copiers
• CPA financial services
• Web site development
• Bookkeeping services

Funding

The Program has applied for $90,000 in CDBG funding for FY 2008-09 and anticipate entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of San Diego's Office of Small Business for an additional $30,000 in funding.
