Information Technology (IT) Security

The Department of IT manages and ensures the security and safety of the City's computing and network resources by:

  1. Creating, implementing and enforcing IT security policies, procedures, and standards;
  2. Performing random and planned system audits;
  3. Educating City employees about cybersecurity (internal and external threats); and
  4. Performing electronic discovery, also called eDiscovery, in response to California Public Records Act requests, subpoenas or internal investigations.
