Clairemont Library
Due to an accident, the Clairemont Library building has been damaged and is closed to the public while repairs and inspections are underway. The reopening is roughly estimated to happen in 2-3 months, but please note that this may change.
While holds currently on the shelves at Clairemont Library must remain inside the building until it has been deemed safe for staff to enter, incoming holds are being routed to Point Loma/Hervey Library for pickup. If you would prefer a different pickup library, please use the SDPL to Go mobile app or call (619) 236-5800.
Library visitors participating in Where's Odi will find Clairemont Library's Odi at North Clairemont Library and may continue the scavenger hunt there.

Situated at the southern end of Clairemont, the library was built in 1958 for $84,766. It was the 13th branch in the San Diego Public Library system. The library has been retrofitted several times over the years with modern amenities, including air conditioning and automatic doors, but the building is preserved in a mid-century style. Patrons with a valid library card can request to use the 3-D printer to design and print materials.
