Application for Community Planning Group (CPG) Independent Legal Status and City Council Recognition

To be considered as an independent, City-recognized Community Planning Group (CPG) representing a particular Community Planning Area, applicants shall complete an application. Currently, recognized CPGs or other newly formed potential CPGs must apply for new City Council Recognition by 5:00 p.m. on December 31, 2023.

Along with your application please include your revised CPG Bylaws that include the following:

  • Operating Procedures that address the Council Policy 600-24 Terms and Conditions
  • CPG Ethical Standards
  • CPG Community Participation and Representation Plan

This form is subject to public disclosure.


What community/planning area(s) are you establishing a CPG for?
Are you an existing CPG that was established prior to September 13, 2022?
What Council District(s) is your CPG located in?
Will your CPG have more than twenty (20) members?
The City Council may recognize a CPG with more than 20 members if the larger membership is necessary to give broader representation to a community. NOTE: You will be required to upload your Member Composition Form in the Attachments section below.
