Neighborhood prosecutors are assigned to work directly in San Diego neighborhoods, partnering with the San Diego Police Department and various community organizations. The neighborhood prosecutors have offices at the San Diego Police Department's area stations, regularly attend community meetings to hear from community members and participate in developing long-term community solutions to misdemeanor crime problems. These include, but are not limited to prostitution, graffiti, noise violations, disturbing the peace, illegal street racing, alcohol offenses, and transient crimes.
