Mission Valley

Mission Valley is an urban center of San Diego – home to Hotel Circle and several major shopping centers. In addition, it is home to the San Diego River – an important part of Mission Valley's character, which travels approximately 52 miles from the mountains of Julian to the Pacific Ocean at Dog Beach in Mission Bay Park.

In 2026, Councilmember Campillo joined community members to cut the ribbon on the Ruffin Canyon Trail in Mission Valley, officially opening it for the public to enjoy for generations to come.
