Courtney Zuñiga-Pittam
Director of Communications
Courtney Zuñiga-Pittam’s love for writing and heart for helping others come together in her service to District 7. She is passionate about crafting stories and implementing strategies that foster empathy, open-mindedness, and understanding.
Courtney earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Point Loma Nazarene University. She started her career at one of the largest public relations firms in San Diego handling a myriad of issues including ballot measure campaigns, land use, energy, and transportation.
Before joining District 7, Courtney served as Senior Marketing & Communications Manager at JPW Communications where she managed teams, projects, and budgets for public agencies. She has been trained by the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) and previously served as Press Secretary for San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. You can often find her enjoying a stroll through Balboa Park with her husband and rescue dog, Fin (short for Muffin).
