The City adopted a Zero Waste Plan in 2015 with a goal to reach zero waste by 2040. Zero Waste is a principle that focuses on waste prevention, recycling, composting and other technologies. Zero waste doesn’t necessarily mean absolutely having no waste in the landfill; it’s a continuous improvement process striving to produce as little waste or discards as possible. Review the Zero Waste Plan here:
