1915 photo of the Old Town Bridge where it crossed the San Diego River in Mission Valley before the flood of 1916. The heavy rains and flood were ostensibly the work of the 'rainmaker' Charles Hatfield, who was hired by the San Diego City Council in an effort to get reservoirs filled.
