In this week's "From the Mayor's Desk" newsletter, Mayor Gloria announced the addition of hundreds of new emergency shelter beds to support San Diegans experiencing homelessness, opened the new Riviera Del Sol Neighborhood Park in Otay Mesa, and honored soccer star Alex Morgan with the Key to the City for her advocacy and achievements. The City also reached a milestone with its 1,000th tree planted under the "Trees for Communities" initiative, supporting San Diego’s climate and sustainability goals.
