The San Diego Police Department's Communications Division is the nerve center of SDPD. We are the first contact most people will have when calling for assistance.

Upon selection and successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, applicants receive a hire date and are scheduled for both classroom and on-the-job phase training program. In addition, all Communications employees receive continuing professional training/education throughout their career.
