What is the City’s Carpool Subsidy Program?
The City will provide reimbursement to employees who have a monthly parking pass and use the Evan V. Jones (EVJ) Parkade, Civic Center Plaza, Central Library, or Mission Hills Library and carpool with other City employees. The rate of reimbursement will be calculated so that an employee who carries three riders will receive free parking.
Who is eligible for the City’s Carpool Subsidy Program?
Local 145, POA, Local 911, Local 127, DCAA, and MEA employees may take advantage of the Carpool Subsidy Program.
Unrepresented employees are not eligible for the carpool subsidy but may take advantage of the monthly parking pass for the parking lots listed above.
How do I request a monthly parking pass?
Please contact parkingpass@sandiego.gov if you are interested in a monthly parking pass for Evan V. Jones (EVJ) Parkade or Civic Center Plaza. Please contact your manager or administrative team for more information about staff parking passes at the Mission Hills Library or Central Library.
How do I request a Carpool subsidy?
The City will provide carpool subsidy through payroll . To request the carpool subsidy, please complete the Carpool Monthly Reimbursement Form. This form must be completed by the employee (driver) by the 15th of the month in order to receive reimbursement for the month prior (ex: January reimbursement requests must be submitted by February 15th).
