Guaranteed Ride Home

City of San Diego employees who carpool, vanpool, ride transit, walk, or bike to work are eligible to enroll in the SANDAG Guaranteed Ride Home program. If you can't take your regular way home in the event of a qualifying emergency, participants can decide the best method for getting home from work—taxi, rideshare service such as Lyft Standard or Uber X, rental car, or transit—and receive a reimbursement for up to $100 per ride, three times per year.

This program is offered at no cost to anyone who works in the San Diego region and uses an alternative mode of transportation to get to work. You must enroll in the program prior to needing an emergency ride home and you must re-enroll every year on July 1st.
