The Accessibility Advisory Board meets monthly on the second Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The board is dark in August and December.

  • 2022 Meeting Dates: January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, September 14, October 12, and November 9.

Due to the Covid Pandemic, all meetings take place via Zoom Webinar. Please read below for instructions on how to watch and/or participate.

Public Comment Testimony During Board Meetings: To offer public comment testimony during a board meeting, you need to first join the Zoom Webinar meeting online from your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or Smartphone, or by calling into the meeting from your cellular phone or land line.

Directions for Speaking During Public Comment:  When the chair introduces the item you would like to comment on (or indicates it is time for Non-Agenda Public Comment), raise your hand by either tapping the "Raise your Hand" button on your computer, tablet, or Smartphone, or by dialing *9 on your phone. You will be taken in the order in which you raise your hand.  You may only speak once on a particular item.

When the chair indicates it is your turn to speak, click the unmute prompt that will appear on your computer, tablet or Smartphone, or dial *6 on your phone.

Duties and Functions

The Accessibility Advisory Board was established to:

  1. Advise the Mayor and City Council on policies and issues relating to accessibility.
  2. Advise the Mayor and City Council regarding City compliance with federal, state, and local disability and access codes, rules, regulations, and laws.
  3. Make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council for improving communications between the disabled community and City government.
  4. Perform accessibility studies and surveys as requested by the Mayor or City Council.
  5. Provide an annual report to the Mayor and City Council detailing the activities and recommendations of the Board.
