Located in the hills above Old Town, Mission Hills is a neighborhood of stately and unique homes. Many of the community's homes date back to the early 20th century and are carefully preserved as some of the most beautiful in the city. Kate Sessions, the famed planner of Balboa Park, started the Mission Hills Nursery a century ago, and it is still the center of this lovely neighborhood, where interesting shops and cafes add to its vibrancy and make it an ideal residential community.
