Sanna Loando was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, and came to San Diego for graduate studies in 2016. After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Political Science in 2018, she worked for former Council President Georgette Gómez, overseeing the College Area, Kensington, and Talmadge communities of District 9 and advising on numerous policy issues. In the District 7 office, Sanna oversees the Grantville community, and also serves as Senior Policy Advisor to the Councilmember, particularly on issues relating to the City’s Budget and Government Efficiency Committee. Sanna is fluent in English and Swedish.

Sanna says, “I truly love living in San Diego because of the great people here. The weather doesn’t hurt either (there is probably a correlation between the good people and the weather). I am a committed public servant and believe in working collaboratively with the business community, organizations, advocates, and residents to promote social equity and create a sustainable future for all San Diegans.”
