Fire Cadets

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Cadet Program is a youth oriented program focusing on a vocational study of a professional firefighting career with the City of San Diego. To be eligible, you must be between 16 and 21 years old, and maintain a 2.0 GPA.  SDFD Cadet Program Website

Girls Empowerment Camp

Girls Empowerment Camp (GEC) is a free 2-day camp open to teens ages 14-18* that introduces them the fire service and provides campers with a realistic, hands-on overview of firefighting and exposure to all aspects of public safety career opportunities in the fire service. Additionally, the program empowers campers with life skills and professional guidance that encourages them to pursue a career in public safety.  Girls Empowerment Camp Website

Lifeguards Programs

The San Diego Junior Lifeguard Program offers youth ages 7 through 17 an opportunity to learn from professional lifeguards.
