The Land Development Code contains regulations for the development and use of property, including zoning, subdivisions and other related land use activities. The City Planning Department regularly brings forward amendments to the City's Land Development Code (San Diego Municipal Code Chapters 11-15) to ensure consistency with the City's climate, equity, infrastructure or housing goals. Land Development Code amendments can also aid in streamlining the permitting process, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and eliminate unnecessary barriers, redundancies and contradictions. 

We welcome suggestions to improve the City's Land Development Code on an ongoing basis.
