During the 2016 North Park Community Plan Update process, 3.53 acres of land - located between Florida Street and the parallel alley east of Florida Street, and between Upas Street and Cypress Avenue - was redesignated from Residential Medium-High (which allowed 30 – 45 homes per acre) to Residential Low (which allows 5 – 9 homes per acre). The Planning Department is proposing an amendment to the North Park Community Plan to redesignate the area back to Residential Medium-High, which would allow for a residential density of up to 44 homes per acre.
