New Printing Services

Remote Printing Available (College-Rolando Location only)

You can now easily print from your phone, tablet, or laptop using our remote printing service. Send print jobs from any location at any time, whether you're at home or in one of our library locations. Simply print, pay online, and pick up your items within 24 hours.

The new print system does not accept print cards for payment. Be sure to use up your print card money before your location transitions to the new printing system.

Once a location has transitioned to the new system, staff will be unable to check or load print card balances and will be unable to give refunds on any unused credits. San Diego Public Library will be transitioning to this new printing service in May and June of 2024. Please check back here for updates.

Picking Up Printouts

After submitting your print jobs, you will have 24 hours to retrieve your items. Print jobs are automatically deleted after 24 hours, and the library staff will have no way to retrieve them.

Upon your arrival at the selected library location (see library opening hours), you will be prompted to input a 4-digit release code on the tablet. This release code is essential for securing your printouts, as only you can authorize their release to the printer. This security measure ensures that your printed materials remain confidential until you are ready to collect them. Library staff does not have access to this release code. If you lose the release code, you will need to re-submit your print job.
