In 1993 the Town of Hindmarsh and the City of Woodville were combined to form the new City of Hindmarsh and Woodville. The new logo represents the merging of two councils by incorporating their colors. Two of these were donated by John Dyer, the Mayor of Hindmarch and Woodville in 1996; occasion information was not provided to the City Clerk's office.
