Founded in 2003, the San Diego Art Department provided a collaborative environment that fostered artistic expression, for all ages and proficiencies, using art to contribute value and diversity to the community through educational programs and exhibitions. It closed in 2007 and merged with the San Diego Art Institute (SDAI). This was presented by George Lofland, Founder, and Josie Bockelman, Director.
