9 x 7-inch rectangular dish with a bonsai tree design on a yellowish-brown background. Cloisonne enameled ware, called 'SHIPPO' in Japan, means seven heavenly treasures: gold, silver, emerald, agate, coral, crystal and pearl. The word comes from Buddhist Scriptures Septa-Ratuna. Donated by Aichi Mayors Association, Japan, on August 23, 1982; occasion information was not provided to the City Clerk's office.
