Gold-plated 11.5-inch dish with glazed abalone shells, 'Baja, California' and 'Mexico' around the rim and an image of a raised goat head in the center. Goat farming is a major industry in Baja, California, and Mexico is among the top 20 producers of goat milk worldwide. This was donated by Ernesto Ruffo Appel, Governor of the state of Baja California, Mexico. Occasion information was not provided to the City Clerk's office.
