LGBTQ Historic Context: At the October 23, 2014 Historical Resources Board meeting, Mr. Charles Kaminiski addressed the Board during non-agenda public comment to raise the issue of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and Queer (LGBTQ) history in San Diego and the need to identify resources significant to that history. Mr. Kaminiski is interested in the City pursuing a City-wide context statement for LGBTQ history and resources, similar to the efforts of the National Park Service, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Information on these efforts is provided in the Attachments listing below. While no funding for such an effort has currently been secured, the issue is being referred to the Policy Subcommittee for discussion. 4.
