Citizens Equal Opportunity Commission

The City of San Diego seeks individuals interested in serving on the Citizens Equal Opportunity Commission (CEOC). If you would like to be considered for appointment to this commission, you may submit an application online.

The Citizens Equal Opportunity Commission (CEOC) monitors and evaluates the Equal Opportunity Program of the City. It advises and makes recommendations to the Mayor, City Council, Civil Service Commission, and other appropriate agencies of City government. The CEOC assists in the recruitment of competent historically under-represented groups, women, and disabled community members and promotes the City as an Equal Opportunity Employer of individuals and firms desiring to contract with the City.

The CEOC is composed of eleven members, each appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council for a 2-year term.

For additional information on the CEOC, including the list of current commissioners, visit the Office of the City Clerk's Boards & Commissions website.
