San Diego Junior Lifeguard Program Tuition Refund Policy

| 100% | For written notice of cancellation received at least 60 calendar days prior to the start date of the Program. |
| 0% | No refund for written notice of cancellation received less than 60 calendar days prior to the start date of the Program. |
Please note the last day to get a refund for the following sessions for 2026:
- Session 1: April 8, 2026
- Session 2: May 6, 2026
- Grommets: June 3, 2026
Refund requests for those who are unable to attend their session's designated swim tests must request a refund prior to the above dates.
If your child does is not able to pass the swim test requirement, please note the deadlines below to request a refund:
Session 1 - Last Day to request a refund due to inability to pass swim test: April 21
Session 2 - Last day to request a refund due to inability to pass swim test: May 12
The above refund policy will be imposed on all requested cancelations. Exceptions to the refund policy may be made by San Diego Junior Lifeguard Management on a case-by-case basis. Please note the Activenet third party transaction fee is non-refundable.
**Please note refund requests for being unable to pass the swim test must still be submitted via email.
The applicant must always provide a written notice of cancellation via email to sdjuniorguards@sandiego.gov.
