Tax Forms

The San Diego Public Library's Central Library (2nd and 3rd Floors) and the North University Community Library will have limited number of individual Federal and California State tax forms for the 2022 tax year. Due to IRS budget cuts, we will receive fewer IRS forms and instructions, with no schedules or related publications.

Resources

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and TCE (Tax Counseling for the Elderly) provide free tax assistance to people with low to moderate incomes (VITA) and the elderly (TCE).
 
  • For taxpayers who made less than $72,000 in 2020, the IRS offers free online filing and preparation software for federal and state from their partners. Learn which options are available with their free online lookup tool.
  • Taxpayers who earned more than $72,000 in 2020 may file their federal taxes for free online using their Free File Fillable Forms.
