Holiday Schedule for City Offices and Services

Presidents Day observed on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023

Please note the following impacts on City offices and services:



Trash Collection

NO DELAY for curbside trash, recyclables, and yard waste

Applicable to residents serviced by the City of San Diego only. Residents not serviced by the City of San Diego or residents of other cities, should check with their waste hauler for holiday service schedules.

The Miramar Landfill, Greenery and Recycling Center will be OPEN on Monday, Feb. 20. Container sales will be CLOSED. For regular hours and questions, call 858-694-7000.



Parking

NOT ENFORCED 

  • Parking meters
  • Time restrictions for parking on streets
  • Yellow zones
  • Posted street sweeping routes

ENFORCED AT ALL TIMES

  • Red zones
  • White zones
  • Blue zones

Applicable to City of San Diego only.  Parking rules on Port property and in different cities may vary so please read signage provided.



Library

All libraries will be CLOSED.



Parks & Recreation

Golf courses will be OPEN during normal business hours. Holiday rates apply.

City reservoirs will be OPEN during regular hours. Barrett, Hodges, Lower and Upper Otay and Sutherland reservoirs will be CLOSED

Depending on inclement weather, Chollas Lake will be OPEN.

Mission Trails Regional Park and Visitor Center, Tecolote Canyon Natural Park will be OPEN.

All skate parks will be OPEN.

All public buildings in Balboa Park will be CLOSED. This includes the Municipal Gym, Morley Field and Balboa Park Activity Center. Check with Individual museums and attractions for their holiday schedules.

All City recreation centers and City pools will be CLOSED

Tecolote Nature Center will be CLOSED.



City Offices

All Administrative Offices will be CLOSED.

The Testing, Employment Information Center and Background/Fingerprinting offices within the Personnel Department will be CLOSED.

The Your Safe Place - Family Justice Center will be CLOSED. Individuals needing help related to domestic violence should call the Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-888-385-4657. If there is an immediate danger to someone or a medical emergency, they should call 9-1-1. Additional information can be found on the San Diego Police Department's domestic violence webpage.

Open Space and Maintenance Assessment District Offices will be CLOSED.

The Development Services Department Virtual Counter appoinments and inspection services will be CLOSED. All other online services, including researching zoning information, and submitting new project applications, resubmittals and payments will be available by visiting sandiego.gov/DSD.



Public Safety

Police and Fire emergency crews will not be impacted.

Station 38 (Citywide emergency dispatch center) will be on duty.
