Councilmember Marni von Wilpert (District 5)
Carmel Mountain Ranch is located east of Rancho Peñasquitos, south of Rancho Bernardo, and north of Sabre Springs. The community is home to more than 12,000 residents. The land was part of a Mexican land grant dating back to the 1820s. The ranches passed hands over several times over the generations, and have left significant imprints in San Diego's history. Transportation access from the eastern end of State Route 56, the Ted Williams Parkway and I-15 "fast lane" exits make this community attractive to area commuters.
