Miramar Green Waste Recycling

Did you know - approximately 30% of the residential waste entering the Miramar Landfill is recyclable green material? To promote green waste recycling, a discount is available on incoming loads of clean green waste, dry wood, and lumber. The discount depends on the vehicle's size.

City of San Diego residents can self-haul home generated greens from their primary residence to the Miramar Greenery free of charge!

The Greenery accepts recyclable green waste which is used to produce high quality mulch, compost and wood chips that are available to the public. Greenery recycling is essential to prolonging the life of the landfill.

Acceptable Yard Trimmings:

  • Leaves & Flowers
  • Tree Trimmings & Prunings
  • Logs & Branches
  • Shrubbery & Brush
  • Christmas Trees

Acceptable Wood:

  • Pallets & Dimensional Lumber
  • Unpainted Lumber
