Events
The project team was committed to engaging the public throughout the course of the City of San Diego Disparity Study. BBC Research & Consulting hosted various events to help the public understand the purpose of the study and to offer opportunities for the public to submit testimony and comments about their experiences working in the local marketplace and with the City. The events schedule was updated regularly. Interested parties were able to check back periodically here for those updates.
Council Committee Meeting
A preliminary Disparity Study report was presented to the City Council's Budget and Government Efficiency Committee on April 28, 2021. The committee meeting was open to the public.

During each meeting, the project team gave a presentation describing the Disparity Study, including its purpose, methodology and the study schedule. Following the presentation, attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions and submit verbal or written testimony about their experiences working in the local marketplace and with the City. All comments were treated confidentially. They were integrated as part of the project team's analyses of local marketplace conditions without identifying the sources.
