Mayor Faulconer Opens Doors at New Affordable Housing Apartment Building for Low-Income San Diegans

San Diego, CA – Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer joined Speaker Toni Atkins, City Councilmember Todd Gloria, the San Diego Housing Commission and many other civic and business leaders to swing open the doors of a new 201 unit affordable-apartment building for low-income and homeless San Diegans this morning.

Alpha Square Apartments, a joint partnership development of the San Diego Housing Commission, City of San Diego, Alpha Project and Chelsea Investment Corporation features affordable housing units that will be rented to formerly homeless and low-income San Diegans. Located in Downtown San Diego’s East Village, the project is a development of the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) and provides residents with furnished studio apartments that include amenities such as cooktops and air conditioning.
