Holiday Schedule for City Offices and Services

Please note the following impacts on City offices and services:



Trash Collection

Curbside trash, recyclables, and organic waste WILL BE collected as scheduled on Monday, April 1, for customers served by the City's Environmental Services Department. 

Applicable to residents serviced by the City of San Diego only. Residents not serviced by the City of San Diego or residents of other cities, should check with their waste hauler for holiday service schedules.

The Miramar Landfill, Greenery, Recycling Center and Mattress Collection Site will be OPEN on Monday, April 1. Container sales at 8353 Miramar Place will also be CLOSED. For regular hours and questions, call 858-694-7000.



Parking

NOT ENFORCED on Monday, April 1.

Applicable to City of San Diego only. Parking rules on Port property and in different cities may vary so please read signage provided.



Library

All libraries will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1 and will reopen on Tuesday, April 2.

 



Parks & Recreation

Golf courses will be OPEN until dusk on Monday, April 1. Holiday rates will apply.

Barrett, Hodges, Lower and Upper Otay and Sutherland reservoirs will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1. All other City reservoirs will be OPEN during regular operating hours.

Chollas Lake will be OPEN, weather permitting.

All skate parks and the Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track at 5977 Village Center Loop Rd. will be OPEN, on Monday, April 1.

Public buildings in Balboa Park will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1, including: 

  • Balboa Park Activity Center
  • Morley Field
  • Municipal Gym

Check with individual museums and other park attractions for their holiday schedules.

All City recreation centers and City pools will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1 and will reopen on their typical schedule starting Tuesday, April 2.

Tecolote Nature Center will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1, and will reopen on Tuesday, April 2.

Open Space, Permit Center and Maintenance Assessment District Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1.



City Offices

All Administrative Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1.

Development Services Department (DSD) will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, April 2.

  • Online services will still be available, including scheduling inspections, making payments or requesting code enforcement investigations.
  • Check online permit processing timelines for intake, review and permit issuance.

The Personnel Department's Employment Information Center, Testing and Background/Fingerprinting offices will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1.

Your Safe Place - A Family Justice Center will be CLOSED on Monday, April 1. 

Individuals needing help related to domestic violence should call the Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-888-385-4657. Anyone experiencing immediate danger or a medical emergency should call 9-1-1.

Public Safety

Police and Fire emergency crews will not be impacted.

Station 38 (Citywide emergency dispatch center) will be on duty.
