Pure Water San Diego offers a unique Pure Water patch that can be earned by Girl Scouts of all ages. Scouts fulfill the requirements for the patch by participating in an interactive presentation about the Pure Water Program and the City of San Diego's water supply system. Then, they tour the Pure Water Demonstration Facility to see the water purification technology up close that is used to clean recycled water to produce purified drinking water.

As of October 2021, tours of the Pure Water Demonstration Facility are on hold. The patch program will resume when tours resume.
